1 cup granulated sugar

½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted and cooled

2 large eggs, lightly beaten

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Position the rack in the center.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and sugar until evenly combined.

  3. Add Wet Ingredients:
    Add cooled melted butter, beaten eggs, and vanilla. Stir until just smooth.

  4. Fold in Chocolate & Walnuts:
    Gently fold in chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.

  5. Fill the Pie Shell:
    Pour mixture into the unbaked pie crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.

  6. Bake:
    Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden and just set with a slight jiggle in the center.

  7. Cool & Serve:
    Allow the pie to cool for at least 10–15 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature—optionally with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
